Monte's Fine Foods: Reviews & Ratings

f there was ever a restaurant/store that deserved a 5-star review, it's Monte's Fine Foods. This establishment doesn't skimp on anything. The quality of the ingredients (flours, toppings, and sauces) and the process used (72-hour cold fermentation) to make the crust were utterly new to me, and it delivered the best crust I've had on a pizza. You will notice in the photos that they place the pizza on a rigid sheet, not directly on the box; this was the first time I've seen that. The result it delivers is that the superior crust remains superior. I took two pizzas (my third visit in five days) to a gathering, and the pizza remained in the box for two hours, but the time in the box had no impact on the crust. The crust and toppings blew away the people at the gathering. I arrived at Monte's a few minutes early and was so glad I did. Monte's has such a cool vibe! The products they sell in the store are vast and high-quality. There is a broad selection of products from Italy and local vendors. The restaurant and store are superbly arranged, making it so much fun to look around while you wait for your order. Lastly, the business is superbly managed. The employees worked together well, with great attitudes, and they delivered my orders slightly ahead of time. You can't ask for more. I look forward to my next visit to the area so I can return to Monte's!

Wanted to love Monte's as much as everyone else does but ultimately I thought it was Good not Great. We ordered dinner for take out for Friday night for 4 adults and 3 children. Per the website, I called and placed my order Friday morning when they opened for ordering. The woman helping me was incredibly friendly and the service all around was an A+. The market itself was very cool and had a nicely curated grocery selection. We ordered the Cacio e Pepe Pizza, Cheese Pizza, Sopressata Pizza and the Sausage Pizza with no Onion. We also ordered the Hazelnut Slaw, Roman Salad and the Kale Caesar. The menu says that one 14" basic pizza serves 2 people but I would honestly be astounded if 2 people could finish one. The pizzas were HUGE. The favorite pizza in my group was the sopressata or the sausage pizza. We all agreed that the cacio e pepe pizza was underwhelming with too much ricotta and not enough pepper punch or flavor. The hazelnut slaw was surprisingly very spicy and we all really enjoyed the Roman salad. Overall good experience but the pizza just didn't hit that delicious pizza sweet spot for me.

Top notch service. Food was amazing. Visiting from Nova Scotia and wanted to try a Dave Portnoy highly rated pizza, so we discovered this shop and was not disappointed. Also grabbed some honey and jams while waiting. Regret not getting one of those desserts as I forgot to add that on. But I bet they are amazing.

Been waiting a while to try this pie and was not disappointed. Just got a cheese and absolutely loved it. Full of flavors and that crush was good a crispy. The workers were friendly and helping and the store is super cool. So many Italian groceries to choose from. You can buy pizza by the slice. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area.

The Pizza here was incredibly fresh and delicious! It’s the cutest market with unique and specialty items! So many things to enjoy looking for. Their goodies case is a must too, my lemon ricotta cookie was outstanding and my husband really enjoyed his cannoli cookie. Can’t wait to go back and try some more yums! The staff was super friendly too. Keep up the great work!

Monte’s is amazing! The pizza is SO good (esp the vodka with pasta shown in pic). It’s a cute store with unique Italian items and if you live close by it’s nice for quick items when you don’t feel like going to the grocery store. Everyone is so nice in there also. There isn’t any place to sit and eat so everything is take out and they do deliver if you’re close by. 10\10 would recommend!

Stopped here looking for a good sub. The market itself is really nice inside, with a wide variety of groceries and fun things to browse through. I love Italian sandwiches, so I ordered the Monte’s Italian and was disappointed — it didn’t feel like a true Italian sub. It was light in the meats and spices and heavy on the veg. However, I tried a bite of the Ray’s Italian and was completely blown away. It’s an Italian sandwich taken to the next level. Next time I come back, that’s the one I’m getting. I also tried the chicken club sandwich and thought it was really good. The chicken cutlet was breaded and crunchy, maybe a little dry, but overall had great flavor. You can tell everything is made with fresh ingredients. The guys running the place were so friendly, and the outdoor seating is a great spot to enjoy your food on a sunny day.
